Announcing Extended Hours and Providing Daily Access to Gaming
We’ve had multiple big winners since the opening of the First Light Welcome Center, and are excited to see the good times continue. To provide even more access to our guests, the Welcome Center will be open 7 days a week starting on April 21st (from 10AM to 6PM). We can’t wait to see you here!
The First Light Welcome Center, located at 1 O’Connell Way, East Taunton, has been a significant achievement for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Laying the foundation for future economic growth and entertainment in the greater Taunton community, this Welcome Center serves as a first step in the development of the First Light Casino project. To further increase guests’ access to gaming, the First Light Welcome Center will have extended operating hours beginning on April 21st – 7 days a week from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Featuring 50 state-of-the-art slot machines, the Welcome Center offers a preview of what will become the region’s premier casino destination and a key economic driver for the area. When First Light Casino’s full Class III casino opens, it will redefine entertainment in Southeastern Massachusetts with a world-class gaming floor, high-energy table games, top-tier dining, and live entertainment.
As the only Native American casino in the region, First Light Casino ensures economic growth, job creation, and cultural sustainability for future generations of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Beyond benefiting the Tribe, First Light Casino is also poised to become a major economic engine for the City of Taunton and it’s community members. The casino will bring new jobs, attract tourism, and generate significant revenue that will support local businesses and infrastructure.
“I am glad to say we’ve seen a very positive response with the opening of the First Light Welcome Center,” said Brian Weeden, Chairman of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. “Feeling that level of support from the City of Taunton, community members, and visitors is what encouraged us to expand operating hours for our guests.”
