First Light Casino is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to provide day-to-day onsite HR support for team members and managers. This role serves as a visible, approachable HR presence across shifts and departments, helping to maintain a positive workplace culture while supporting consistent application of policies, procedures, and employment practices.

The HR Generalist supports employee and manager relations, benefits and leave administration, workplace investigations, recruiting and onboarding, compliance activities, and HR operations. The position partners closely with the VP of Human Resources, who provides strategic guidance and oversight for sensitive employee relations matters, significant disciplinary actions, policy decisions, and other complex or high-risk issues.

The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with employees, handles difficult conversations professionally, and understands the needs of a hospitality operation that serves guests and supports employees around the clock.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Two to five years of broad Human Resources experience
• Experience supporting employee relations, workplace investigations, benefits administration, and leave management.
• Hospitality, gaming, hotel, restaurant, resort, entertainment, or other customer-facing service industry experience preferred.
• Experience supporting a 24/7 or multi-shift workforce preferred.

Work Schedule & Working Conditions

• This position is required to work onsite at First Light Casino.
• The regular schedule will be structured to provide meaningful HR coverage outside traditional business hours and will include evenings and at least one weekend day each week.
• A typical schedule may be Tuesday through Saturday, approximately 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; the specific schedule may be adjusted based on operational and employee-support needs.
• Flexibility is required to support a 24/7 casino operation, including occasional schedule changes for investigations, employee meetings, training, or urgent workplace matters.
• The role requires regular interaction with employees in a fast-paced hospitality and gaming environment.

The Count Team Member / Main Banker is responsible for the secure collection, transport, and counting of gaming revenue in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. This role also provides Main Banker support during peak operational periods. The position requires strict adherence to chain of custody procedures, accuracy in cash handling, and the ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.

Job Description

The Food & Beverage Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of food and beverage services within First Light Casino. This position assists the Bar Manager in ensuring exceptional guest service, regulatory compliance, staff performance, inventory, and efficient operational execution.

The Food & Beverage Shift Supervisor provides direct floor leadership, coordinates daily staffing assignments, ensures adherence to operational procedures, monitors service standards, and assists with inventory and cash-control procedures. This position serves as the primary point of contact for frontline employees during assigned shifts and helps maintain a safe, clean, and guest-focused environment.

The Food & Beverage Shift Supervisor exercises sound judgment in resolving guest concerns, supporting employee development, and maintaining compliance with Tribal, state, federal, and gaming regulations. This role reports directly to the Bar Manager and serves as a key leadership position in supporting overall Food & Beverage operations.

• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service laws and food safety regulations.
• Experience using POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Must possess or obtain S.M.A.R.T., T.I.P.S., or equivalent responsible beverage service certification.
• Food Handler Certification preferred or must be obtained within a designated timeframe.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all gaming licenses required by the Mashpee Tribal Gaming Commission.
• Strong customer service, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees.

Job Description

Responsible for the safety and security of employees, customers, assets, and facilities. Controls and diffuses potential problems and assists employees and guests in emergencies. Job Description

Responsible for documenting and verifying the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing currency, coins, vouchers, tickets, bank deposits, and other monetary instruments. Maintain the accountability of the main bank and safe per established internal control, policies and procedures, and gaming regulations. Responsible for performing verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions and check cashing. Processes jackpots check cashing and redeems valid gaming vouchers received from patrons for an equivalent amount of cash. Working knowledge of P.O.S. cash register system and gaming voucher ticket redemption system. Comply with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations during the drop and count. Further, responsible for the collection and counting of vouchers and currency from gaming bill acceptors. Demonstrates and provides outstanding customer and employee relations at all times. Presents oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mental and physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Must be able to lift moderate amounts of at least 30 lbs. Ability to make independent decisions. Ability to read, speak, and communicate ideas in English both orally and in writing. Must have excellent Math skills. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends. Holidays and special events as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have two (2) years cashier experience in related operations. Experience as Main Banker/Cashier/Drop Team Member is a plus. Must also have excellent PC, communication, supervisory and delegation skills. Must be at least 21 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to Massachusetts Tribal Gaming regulations.
